🚨Meet John Banuelos. In 2021 he allegedly pulled a gun and fired it into the air while marauding with the mob at the Capitol on January 6th. In 2024, appearing via Zoom from jail in front of Judge Tanya Chutkan, he smirked into the camera and said: “Trump is going to be in office in six months, so I have nothing to worry about.” He was right. Trump pardoned him. He should’ve worried about something else. Prosecutors say Banuelos is now charged with 9 first-degree felonies in Utah — kidnapping and assault — tied to a 2018 attack on a woman, cracked open by a DNA match last summer. According to the charging documents, the victim said Banuelos “hit her in the face and told her he was going to kill her,” then “grabbed her by the shirt and dropped her on the floor, causing her to hit her head.” She said she believed he was going to kill her. Because this is a state case, Trump’s pardon pen is useless. He faces life in prison. Trial starts December 1st. He has pleaded not guilty. Banuelos isn’t an outlier — he’s part of the pattern.
