Kurt - it does not undermine the filibuster to make them filibuster. I would posit that the only way to save the real filibuster is to actually do it rather than the #FakeFilibuster - which defaults to a 60-vote threshold to shut off a debate that NEVER happens.

Love the SAVE Act. If you can figure out how to pass it without screwing ourselves over the filibuster, awesome. But I have grave doubts about the plans I've seen so far. Happy to be proven wrong though.

We did out job in the House. @realDonaldTrump supports it. 48 Republican Senators are co-sponsors. So the only barrier? 5 Senate Republicans and a #FakeFilibuster threshold of 60 - rather than just showing up and forcing actual debate. #MakeTheSenateWorkAgain

Interesting. @lisamurkowski says Republicans were unanimously opposed to the Dems’ election legislation in 2021 (S. 4, the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act), and yet she voted with all the Democrats to proceed to the bill. To save America & give @realDonaldTrump the support to do it, the @SenateGOP must end the #FakeFilibuster & make them talk: - GOP Senators hide behind 60 Vote threshold to end debate that never occurs out of laziness &/or lack of backbone - They can force a vote at 51 by a) demanding actual debate with b) 51 GOP Senators present (Quorum) & READY to pass something conservative (the real problem) - Democrats will certainly lower the “60 vote” threshold to pass a radical agenda if the GOP doesn’t act now to win with a majority (best accomplished by demanding actual debate) - The @HouseGOP should force the hand of @SenateGOP by passing an agenda worthy of calling the question (e.g. Border Security, Election Integrity, Immigration Pause, Healthcare Freedom, Sharia Law Ban, Ban on foreign/corporate ownership of single family homes, Further Cuts to Spending). We have the majority & a President willing to fight for America. We used it to take a giant step with the BBB in 2025.
