Very valid point. Another funny example is that of 'Hamleys'. It used to be a decent toy store. After Reliance acquired it, Hamleys have become a Soft Toy Shop selling 100 rupees things at 1000 rupee price. Most of the toys kept there are Made in China and sold at 10x price. People don't buy the products, they buy the paper bag. Because it uplifts the status.
