My first tweet got way out of hand so I wrote my opinion about it down.
What actually protects your fic from AI, what doesn't, and what it costs your readers. And since I’m not clickbaiting: TLDR: not this text.

If this is what you think the future is enjoy your soulless, meaningless garbage. This isn’t a trailer because it’s not an actual story, just a collection of copied stolen images are kinda cool but shitty if you look closer. You can’t shortcut your way to catharsis. #fandomvsai
jail for a thousand years to any company that does this. go AWAY! #aisucks #fandomvsai #fandomstrikesback
Just to be clear, this is not fair use.
Artists are starting to delete their art off social media. This is where we’re at unless we fight back.

if the theft doesn't bother you, think about the exploitation of workers and the planet maybe - read the whole thread!

So, if Twitter really is going to start data scraping from what we post, is this the time to flood the dataset with the most unhinged omegaverse (or kink of choice) fics and arts in our arsenal?
This is why we're here. Fandom is just a slice of it that we happen to have expertise in and we also have a lot of skin in the game- our passion, our creative outlet, our community, our joy.
But make no mistake - it's everywhere and it's on all of us.

People message me asking, “What can I do to support the entertainment artists’ fight against #AI.”
It’s not just entertainment at all, so wherever you see GAI infiltrating your world, push back. Speak up. Your bank, your insurance company, your grocery store. PUSH BACK.
Also when the strikes end, we will still use our voices to protest the use of AI in fandom! No one’s work should be stolen and used without their consent so someone else can profit! #FandomVsAI
As fans, we must support and honor those who gave us these incredible stories to even become fans of.
Solidarity with #WGAstrong and #SAGAFTRAstrongas they strike, because their fight is our fight too.

Need consultation and/or writing support regarding the legality of profiting from fan art. Any takers?

We’ll give some background on this in our next chapter. We believe AI should not be used in fandom, both due to data scraping as well as it being a method to create transformative works. #FandomVsAI #CreateDontScrape

I saw a published author essentially say “sharing/posting AI art is OK if I don’t make money” yesterday, which feels SO WILD— like AI is coming for everyone and if we don’t act swiftly and with solidarity/unity we’re kinda fucked?? How can ppl not see this😫
