The recent liquidation of #Filmbase has now led to the suspension of the dlr #FirstFrames until further notice.
Filmbase was contracted by dlr to manage all aspects of the dlr First Frames Scheme for emerging filmmakers.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Anyone that’s been badly affected by the #Filmbase closure: if what you’ve lost is edit time and facilities get in touch with me, maybe I can help! #edit #postproduction
Pleased to join @NiallXMurphy, @baronronan, @JayCoyle and @pixiegrace on this one.
Wherein we discuss the loss of #filmbase, take a look at the top ten and new movies, and I argue (only barely facetiously) that "Lady Bird" and "Mom and Dad" are the same film. https://t.co/jtMp64Ndle
Really sad to hear about the Filmbase closure. They kickstarted so many film careers and gave myself and Simon Fitzmaurice funding to make this award winning short which starred @martinmccann1 & @AidanTurner

#Filmbase closing just shows how fucked up and elitist the arts situation is in Ireland. Big message coming from Ireland if you're creative and are only starting out get the fuck out now while you can. (Unless you're related to someone in @artscouncil_ie or RTE that is)
Filmbase Notice of Closure - It is with great sadness that the staff, management and board of Filmbase announce that, after thirty two years of serving the Irish film community, the organisation is coming to a close. https://t.co/gY77sVQbOY
Thank you all for your concerns regarding all the students here on the MA course due to Filmbase's recent closure. Thankfully, we are able to continue our MA programme and complete our feature film. It's business as usual for us here on the MA programme #comebackfilm #filmbase
More than 20 Irish filmmakers have shared their personal experiences with Filmbase and highlighted its legacy from funding, to courses, to services for the wider #IrishFilm community. #Filmbase #IrishTalent https://t.co/0t1axANvxx
Was in #Filmbase earlier picking up a dcp. There's (understandably) a very sad strange vibe inside. I've so many feelings & thoughts spinning around my brain since hearing it's closing down. It's been there over 30 years, it's provided so much to people over that time. So sad.
