This year in South Carolina, we’re building on a productive 2025 season that saw Dauntless #FireBosses drop 315K+ gallons of water over 17 #wildfires. We’re proud of the impact, but it's just one component of the broader wildfire response system led by @SCForestryComm. 🧵 (1/3)

Story time! 15 years ago when #FireBosses were first being used in the US, we'd regularly be asked to haul retardant instead of water - often because it was assumed there were no scooper-accessible water sources nearby the #wildfire. (1/3) #tbt

A resident in Montana filmed 3 Dauntless #FireBosses refilling at Bull Lake. Powered by the Pratt & Whitney PT6A-67F turboprop engine, the aircraft skim the surface of the water to fill up the hopper (not the pontoons/floats). #fireseason2021
#FireBosses work in close coordination with #wildlandfirefighters. Drops from these aircraft help reduce the intensity of the #wildfire and create a less taxing and dangerous environment for crews on the ground. #dauntlessatwork
#FireBosses are typically deployed in coordinated groups, ranging from 2 to 8 aircraft. We work alongside #helicopters and in close coordination with ground crews to keep #wildfires small and contained.

Dauntless #FireBosses have on-board gel mixing capability. This gives our aircraft the ability to drop up to 20 continuous loads of enhanced water. Enhanced loads are more effective at slowing and cooling the advance of a #wildfire, which helps ground crews get the upper hand 💪

@DauntlessAir Those figures by @airtractorinc #Firebosses are impressive but Spanish Air Force @EjercitoAire #43Grupo ‘s record, shown here https://t.co/txaqGrTy2R back in 2014 is 81 drops in 4,66 hours by a #Canadair @vikingairltd CL-215T, delivering 24,994 gallons per hour ...continues 👇🏻
