I cannot #firemanup to students dying in reckless stunts to prove themselves worthy. I paid $400 to almost die and play rescuer.🚩 Why would anyone do that? It's sickening. It's Criminal. 🏴🏴 @ONFireChiefs @OPPCommissioner #SafeTrainingNow

It was really confusing how @oakvillefire hired me out of 1000s of applications... but then fired me after 8 weeks because I wasn't "the right fit." I reached out for help. I communicated. But they didn't want me to have a voice. They didn't want to listen. #FiremanUp 🚨

One-way communication: #Firemanup! Two-way communication: How can I help you? No one is going to "reach out" to a leader with toxic (unconscious) bias about #mentalhealth. Trust or bust. #yourenotalone @OPFFAHealth @ONFireChiefs

For leaders, #communication is key in gaining respect and trust from employees. However, not many know how to do it properly. #Leadership is about turning one-way communication into a two-way #conversation.

Deterrence and denunciation. 🔥 The @ONFireMarshal needs to #firemanup and hold people accountable in its jurisdiction. All people. 🔥 #Duty #Service #Honour @SylviaJonesMPP @jonpeggOFMEM 🚨 @A_Deputy_OFMEM

Unless the courts start taking this serious and we quit giving away detectors this will continue, we need to charge people not reward them by a free detector and installation, people just don’t get it

Six years into my trauma therapy.... not one mental health professional has recommended exposure therapy. But training officers without any (psychological) training think it's a great idea? The #FiremanUp approach is stupid, dangerous, and deadly. @DfcBelair Don't allow it. 🔥

@oakvillepffa @oakvillefire Pushed me in firefighter survival training while I was also suffering with the trauma of an entrapment/drowning of a firefighter student that no one tried to save. Exposure therapy?🤦‍♀️ Build them. Don't break them. Definitely don't kill them....
