Ever wonder how Elon Musk solves the impossible? He calls it his secret superpower: First Principles thinking. Stop copying history and start building from scratch. #ElonMusk #FirstPrinciples #Innovation #ProblemSolving #Tech
In the #SeedlingStage for #LossyCrypto. At the moment there is no prototype and just #FirstPrinciples. As a mathematician, I like this stage. This is a quiet presentation ATM.
I tu dochodzimy do twardych praw fizyki. Im zimniejszy radiator, tym słabsze jego promieniowanie. Zgodnie z prawem Stefana-Boltzmanna, moc promieniowania rośnie proporcjonalnie do czwartej potęgi temperatury bezwzględnej.
"kosmos" 🤔
Bitcoin rises; cryptos rise
ZCash rises; privacy cryptos rise.
So Bitcoin is the father of cryptos and ZCash is the father of privacy in cryptos.

Spotting fake news from #firstprinciples: they say China built a 35-story gravity battery that lifts 24-ton concrete blocks. Does this even make sense?
Let’s do some quick maths. Gear ratios, pulley systems and fancy mechanics won’t multiply the output: conservation of energy is the only thing that matters here.
Let's plug in the numbers for a single block: E = mgh = 24,000 kg * 9.81 * 105 m = 24.7 MJ = 𝟲.𝟴𝟲 𝗸𝗪𝗵
Is that a lot or a little?
Think about what a typical household uses:
• US average: ~10,500 kWh per year (~29 kWh per day)
• European average: ~3,600 kWh per year (~10 kWh per day)
One of those gigantic 24-ton blocks wouldn't even power a single American home for 6 hours, and it wouldn't quite get a European home through a full day. To match the capacity of a single @Tesla #Megapack (3,900 kWh), you would need to lift and suspend 568 of these 24-ton blocks at the top of the tower at the exact same time.
When you compare the energy density (how much energy you get per kilogram of material), the problem becomes obvious:
• 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 (at 105m height): ~0.00028 kWh/kg
• 𝗣𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼 (water at 500m elevation): ~0.0014 kWh/kg
• 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱-𝗔𝗰𝗶𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆: ~0.04 kWh/kg (140x denser than the block)
• 𝗟𝗙𝗣 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘂𝗺-𝗜𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆: ~0.16 kWh/kg (570x denser than the block)
So yeah, unfortunately we can't have a #flying #Roadster powered by sole gravity...
But probably @elonmusk already knew about it

Most people: “It failed before, so it can’t be done.”
Elon teaching kids the opposite: Ignore what others did. Look at the physics. Is it actually possible?
This mindset is why we have reusable rockets.

women should only be able to consent under the auspices of a male guardian, like a father, brother or husband

Choosing to have a drink is not consent, and it’s never a license for sexual assault.
New York law should reflect that.
I support closing the voluntary intoxication loophole and will work with the Legislature to get it done.
Elon Musk: orbital computing will become a very big deal as SpaceX and Tesla target 200 gigawatts of solar production a year
“Yeah, I mean, it’s going to increase quite dramatically year over year. So, yeah, I mean, from a SpaceX standpoint, we’re looking at long term: how do we access a lot more energy than could be accessed on the ground? And that’s with space."
"So orbital compute is going to be a very big deal. In fact, Google agrees. They just actually sent up, or are either about to or soon about to send up, some TPUs. I think there was an H100 that was put into orbit, like, last year, I think. So it does work in space."
"And SpaceX is aiming, together with Tesla, to do 200 gigawatts of solar production per year."
"And if brought to space, you get the nameplate or better on the solar power, whereas if it’s on the ground, you’re going to get somewhere between a fifth and an eighth of the solar power generation, and you need enormous batteries. So whereas it’s essentially always sunny in space.”
Stellar Engine
Starship reached orbit on Falcon power.
Give Musk 300 years, and he won't stop at Mars.
He'll build a Stellar Engine.
The question is: who owns the name when he does?

Elon Musk:
“We want to be a civilization that expands to the galaxy with spaceships that anyone can go anywhere they want, at any time
That would be epic
Have a city on the Moon. Cities on Mars. Populate the entire solar system
Send spaceships to other star systems
That sounds like the best possible future”

@Grok and @elonmusk, what happens when you run this historical-cosmological matrix through an AI reasoning engine to find the ultimate telos of human history?

Wie mache ich den Prozess schneller? Falsche Frage. 🧱
