@yabaleftonline This is how we dey risk our lives every rainy season in Lagos Water + transformer = mass burial if NEPA no quick off light! Government, LASEMA, whoever, come save Island people abeg. We no wan hear "RIP" trending next. Clear the drains, stop the excuses! #LagosFlooding #FixLagos

Unless the Yorubas collectively agree to vote in a governor who studied Geography and Town Planning, and worked in that sector for 15+ years...Lagos will continue to flood.
Lagos cannot grow as a modern metropolis with lawyers and finance guys as governors.

@monsieur_avril See ikorodu na. The person here complained about how the rain flooded her room at night. #FixLagos
@ruffydfire Yet again, when people talk about the commissioner of environment his tribes men will turn to attack dogs.

@Momonny1 @iamacapella His anger stems from the response of a government employee still financed by the same taxes from the citizens that try to bring these issues to light. These citizens are right in all cos they pay taxes to the government as far as they reside and work in Lagos state. #Fixlagos
@akinalabi @jibola_alao That's not the discussion Oloye..
Lagos dey smell abi Lagos no dey smell?
It can be the best place to make money but still smells badly!
Let's stop all these hide and seek game.
#fixLagos!
I'm a Lagosian by every sense of it, my both parents are Lagosians and their parents too... Boss I'm telling you Lagos smells like mad, the roads are bad and you're terrible at your cleaning job.

The deliberate efforts by a handful of individuals to tarnish the reputation of Lagos State are deeply concerning. It is regrettable that some who relocate from their home states in pursuit of better opportunities quickly, in less than a month or two, resort to disparaging the very state that has provided them the platform to thrive. Leveraging social media followings, these individuals propagate harmful narratives, often aligned with divisive agendas, undermining the progress and inclusivity that Lagos represents.
While constructive criticism is essential for growth, malicious attempts to vilify a state that empowers countless lives daily are counterproductive. Lagos remains a place of opportunity, innovation, and resilience, and it is imperative that we collectively uphold its integrity while fostering unity and progress.
Dear @IgumaScott I do hope that you will put this same energy in ‘looking out’ for other states. I wish you all the best!

@SaharaReporters @followlasg Taxing public school students N10,500 for #WAEC registration is beyond unfair—it's exploitative. #Education should empower, not burden. @followlasg, stop punishing students for wanting a future. Prioritize their growth, not your revenue. #EducationNotTaxation #FixLagos
My opponent, who was simply ushered into office in a sham of an election, said what he was instructed to say, because he knew it was all meaningless. He has now been in office for more than 1,000 days, and the Apapa gridlock has WORSENED in that time.
#FixLagos
The pragmatist in me knew that was impossible & instead promised to fix the Apapa gridlock in 18 months, with a mixed approach of realpolitik (devolution of the ports), physical infrastructure upgrade & pragmatic & easily achievable logistics alternatives.
#FixLagos
It's not enough to simply waffle or trot out completely unrealistic promises, like candidate @jidesanwoolu did at the 2019 The Platform Lagos State Gubernatorial debate, when he said he would fix the Apapa gridlock within his first 100 days in office.
#FixLagos
There are a number of ways to break this cycle & restart the Lagos productivity machine. All these require resources which are currently spent either on frivolity, or on political campaigns, on ill-concieved, or on poorly executed vanity projects with zero social impact
#FixLagos
....failure to make these important investments have resulted in an almost equal degree of low productivity per capita, massive unemployment and grinding poverty, inevitably. We are faced with a self-perpetuating cycle of DEPRIVATION.

....services & utilities. That TRUST is what missing in Lagos State, due to the almost predictable stagnation, even reversal, in the condition of our infrastructure, and the quality, or lack thereof, of our services and utilities. Besides, the prolonged, persistent.....
#FixLagos
In territories where things seem to work seamlessly, you'll realise that most people pay their taxes voluntarily, even though there's an element of legal compulsion. They pay because they TRUST their governments, who are CONSTANTLY improving infrastructure....
#FixLagos
Visible, verifiably prudent & extensive investment in INFRASTRUCTURE, SERVICES & UTILITIES is the only way to encourage more people to pay their taxes, not empty rhetoric, flashy sloganeering, brandishing of fashionable buzzwords or stuffing taxes into PERSONAL VAULTS!
#FixLagos
@gboyegaakosile @PoliceNG Make una dey calm down o, all these draconian laws should be tested in court, lets hope @ruffydfire will fight this or let the oppressors impound his vehicle just like that. #FixLagos roads
When we asked @followlasg @jidesanwoolu to fix water in Lagos, it seems we are asking for too much. Lagos is facing a water crisis now. Lagos is suppose to be a Mega City but it can't solve basic water or electricity issues. Lagos is a mega slum and it's a big shame! #FixLagos
These are bad roads in Lagos state unfortunately governor @jidesanwoolu does not recognize that its his responsibility to fixing them. @jidesanwoolu can go after protesters and even killing them than, giving the people good governance and development #FixLagos @jidesanwoolu.
