tbh i have so much to say ab this game’s aesthetic when it comes to darker skin MCs, but i already know ppl will say i’m overanalyzing. still some things are just impossible to ignore. the hands, the nails, the fucking nails turning opaque and brown, the palms being the exact same color as the rest of the skin… none of it makes sense lol
at first i try to brush it off like, “it’s just a game, it’s allowed to have flaws.” but then you realize that the lightest skin doesn’t have these issues at all. decals, makeup… everything works fine. so why is it suddenly so hard when it comes to darkest skin?
how hard is it to actually test your assets? and if you can’t make one thing work for everyone, then do what plenty of other games do: create variations. make lip colors for lighter skin, and make versions that actually work for darker skin. that’s just the basics
what hurts the most is knowing that ppl with lightest skin won’t get it, "it’s a chinese game ofc it’s gonna-", "it’s not that deep", bc they already have everything. they don’t have to think ab whether they belong, or whether something was made with them in mind. we do.
the makeup in lads pissed me off so badly tho, i’m relieved i finally found something that somewhat suits my mc and reflects who i want her to be but it shouldn’t be this hard…especially from a game that promoted inclusion. almost nothing truly works on darkest skin in this game, and that’s honestly just disappointing.
