Strong food systems depend on collaboration, innovation and partnerships that connect policy, research and community impact. This evening, I joined leaders, researchers and fellows at the African Food Fellowship Engagement Forum to discuss the future of Kenya’s livestock industry and broader efforts to strengthen food systems across the region. We reflected on progress in dairy and meat exports, livestock vaccination, rangeland restoration, youth empowerment and market systems aimed at improving farmer incomes and access to markets.
