Absolutely love this segment #FootballisUs @ABCNetwork put on today coving College Football. I actually cried watching the part with @TimTebow and I'm not even a Florida fan. Bless you, ABC. Thank God for sports.
“Blacks weren’t allowed to play in those(PWI) programs. That’s why Grambling was loaded. That’s why Texas Southern was loaded. That’s what Prairie View was loaded. That’s what Tennessee State was loaded. That’s why Tuskegee was loaded...”

Alabama Football used to be whiter than Pumpkin Spice Craft Beer at a Taylor Swift concert. Now it's blacker than a Popeyes Chicken Sandwich listening to Megan Thee Stallion. How the times have changed. #CFB150 #FootballisUs
I thought the show on 150 years of College Football; Football is Us on ESPN would show the great history and traditions - instead it’s too much commentary by “talking heads” on dangers and negativity - wanted inspiration! #FootballisUs
“If colleges exist just to teach Latin and French, we should shut them all down now. But if Colleges exist to create men, then Football is the most important course” 🏈 #FootballisUs #CFB150

The “Football Is Us” documentary was so incredibly good and I can’t recommend it enough #FootballisUs
#footballisus was a great documentary and we spoke on exactly what they did on HBCU football in a deeper context here on @GuessfromthePod Click the episode and hear what myself @AJK_36 @jimihenndriix and @Skhoolkhidd had to say!
2/2 Loved seeing the story of Andre Ware and @UHCougarFB told in last night’s #FootballIsUs documentary on @espn. Andre was the first black quarterback to win the @HeismanTrophy, and was @TheRayCenter’s special guest at their All-Star Evening in 2012.
Watching ESPN's #FootballIsUs, great old footage and photos about the genesis of the game and how it became woven into the fabric of America's universities.

Football Is Us was a great documentary. Very informative especially the part about the integration of southern school and HBCUs. Never thought about HBCUs falling off with schools being integrated. Looking forward to the other documentaries this season. #FootballisUs
College football is so deeply flawed. But it’s also really beautiful.
That’s why it always feels to me like a reflection of America. #FootballIsUs
That doc was something man. Surprisingly in a lot of ways and an accurate representation of the good and evils of college football and it’s history. #FootballisUs
Just watched pieces of this #FootballisUs documentary and it hits right on the nose.
College football is more than a game. It brings communities together in a way that is unmatched. Although we don’t play, it’s a piece of who we are.
Win or loss I wear these colors with pride!
If you just missed the College Football Special “Football is Us” you need to see it! Nothing better than college football! @espn @CollegeGameDay #FootballisUs
#FootballisUs was one of the most powerful documentaries I have ever watched... I’m in tears 😭. Ain’t that right @_tattedunicorn
I wish they would’ve done #FootballIsUs in the same format as Basketball: A Love Story and do an episode each week through the whole season. Such a great doc tho!
“The way we idolize 19 year old kids is unhealthy, the way we pay coaches 5 million dollars a year is unhealthy but it brings everybody together and it’s an experience like no other.” #FootballIsUs
I cringe every time they interview Urban Meyer on this special. #FootballisUs
