Too many patients in the UK are under the illusion that Private Medical Insurance PMI is the best possible care. Too many of us found out the hard way that this is not true.
When it goes wrong, there's no support. Patients are being failed.

Without enforcement there is no deterrent to harm.
Without enforcement patient safety remains at risk.

Here, we have the new Patient Safety Principles (a 'guide' for leaders at all levels) and also previous guidelines that were repeatedly flouted.

Be it surgery/procedure or medication ALL patients deserve to be warned of serious known risks. Without this information they are unable to make an informed choice about their treatment.
