@barbkiser @Tim_Hannigan @IanCarter67 @RSmythFreelance consciousness. In order to achieve a further&genuine democratisation of our food&production systems, as well as reap the biodiversity benefits of a decentralised, affordable&sustainable land-use model, we really need to #forgetrewilding

@islainthewild @BenGoldsmith @collbradan That's 1 of the (many) central issues with 'rewilding',no fixed meaning, its purely in the eye of the beholder, & as such can be militated to the advantage of the most powerful/influential within a movement built around it(see Ben's description of 'our' movement) #forgetrewilding

@tim_waterman @LukeMNeve @RewildingB 3) the first casualties, shortly followed by small family farms. The dawn of a new rural bonanza for hedgefunds and the traditional wealthy&landed, predicated on the cessation of rural industries and the demise of associated communities. #forgetrewilding, embrace #newpastoralism

Long and short of it: Wrong project, wrong place, wrong people, wrong funder; poorly conceived, implemented, governed&managed - and this is just half the story from the perspectives of those inside the project! Pretty damning for @RewildingB. #forgetrewilding

With Netherwood Sustainable Futures & Well-being Planner, PCF delivered this evaluation of Summit to Sea project. So interesting, and we are keen to share learning for landscape scale projects. Great to see plenty recommendations taken on already: https://t.co/xKsX696j7p

@Q_petr @collbradan @StephenCorrySvl #forgetrewilding, go for nature abundance in peopled and productive cultural landscapes if you truly seek agreement. Wilderness myths have been connected to colonial interpretations of land relationships for far too long, and there's too much water under the bridge, damage is done

@TaranRallings @RewildingB 2)If Wales is going to create genuine collaborative, inclusive, biodiverse and peopled landscape futures, that are culturally and contextually relevant, without the shadow of colonialism and the divisive rhetoric that plagues land-use debates, we need to #forgetrewilding

@MatthewJDalby @AmiesPhilip @lwhemmings @WilderScapes @Rebirding1 I disagree, the core tenet of 'rewilding' is progress towards a lack of management (and thus a progressive shedding/loss of employment in associated sectors). Regenerative farming, new -or old!- pastoralism, traditional extensive mosaics on the other hand... #forgetrewilding
