+ 7 sea ice stations on drift ice and on fast ice.
+ 37 icebergs registered.
+ Sea ice observations during satellite overpasses.
+ Strategic support with @CopernicusEU data.

Busy days on the fast ice in East Greenland.
We sampled & measured the sea ice, collected areal observations, and registered icebergs.
Ice thickness was ~1.5 m in level areas.

@CIRFA_SFI scientists are supporting sea ice research and navigation onboard #FFKronprinsHaakon during the #FramStraitNPI cruise. The sea ice conditions are challenging this year, and Sentinel-1 imagery from @ESA_EO is of great help for tactical decisions and route planning.

On the ongoing @CIRFA_SFI expedition on #FFKronprinsHaakon we are studying the fast ice off the #Greenland coast. This sea ice is held in place by icebergs from the Greenland ice sheet that have grounded on shallow banks off the coast.
