#FreeCruz this makes me very sad. I’d really like more transparency from @Bungie on these bans, this one in particular. I don’t see how this could have affected Cruz’s gameplay in D2 albeit with my small knowledge on this subject and maybe they can’t tell us ALL of the details due to risk of others using it as a method to cheat themselves in future, however, I do believe that more needs to be explained, at least to Cruz himself especially with his very open honesty and accountability on the mod and its use for in the game it was intended for. Let’s remember this is for a completely different game.
I have watched these guys raid from my first days of @DestinyTheGame they ARE the competitive pve aspect of the game for me and I believe not due to notoriety but with the amount of time and effort this person has put into honing their craft of THEIR GAME as well as the above and much more, Bungie owes Cruz a conversation.
I speak as someone who can not abide cheating but agrees in justice and information sharing if something has been done seemingly so innocently! I have interviewed @SaltagreppoD2 in the past, only ever found him to be a genuine human being who is publicly standing up for his friend and that says a lot about Cruz for me too even though I don’t know him as well or personally. The whole community is upset at this, anyone with any idea of how our game works. It really makes me sad to think that end game raid races will be without Cruz. If he hadn’t got his raid belt I would’ve been even more angry but I’m sure that’s little consolation to him right now. I advise you go and watch @JakeSucky interview on the subject which is a great piece.
We got communication from Bungie that Cruz’s ban is final, and due to their ban evading policies he will not be allowed to make another account to compete in TFS.
He will still receive his Crota belt since they have no reason to believe any violation occurred in the races we won.

Bungie falsely banned and then unbanned a bunch of speedrunners last year, still haven't stopped netlimiters, and cheaters run rampant in trials. Bungie shown they have no idea what they're doing, and if there is anyone I don't trust it's them.
