⚪️🔴 The Rotten Row Magistrate court put the liberty of accused person at risk by slowly transcribing the record. Surely, it can’t take more than 7 working days to transcribe ONLY 10% of the record!

UPDATE
The case of Namatai, Samuel and Robson has been postponed to Wed the 4th of Sept, 2024.
Since the 16th of August to today, the 28th, the lower court had only transcribed 10% of the record. It has been given an order to be done with transcribing on or before 2 Sept
🟡⚫️Let’s all attend court in solidarity with these three comrades! They were detained “incommunicado” for 8 hours, tortured, arbitrarily arrested and denied bail at the lower court. Fighting for human rights and dignity is not a crime.

Today, 28 August, human rights activists @namataik_, @cdegwenzi, and @robohchere are expected to appear at the Harare High Court for their bail appeal.
They have spent 28 days in pre-trial detention after their arbitrary arrest on 31 July at Robert Mugabe International Airport
They must be released!

Namatai Kwekweza, Samuel Gwenzi, Robson Chere and Vusumuzi Moyo are not criminals! The use of delay tactics in legal proceedings undermine the judicial process and the rights of the accused to a fair trial.
They all have the right to a fair trial without unnecessary delay. It is their constitutional right!
