@journal_CHEST #FRESHStudy provides the 1st prospective evidence in a critically ill population for the potential of dynamic-fluid response measure guided resuscitation. FRESH was not designed to evaluate patient-centered outcomes including survival & functional recovery #JournalCHESTChat ..1/

@journal_CHEST #FRESHStudy prospectively defined several adverse events including new-onset renal failure, tissue ischemia and complications of peripheral vasopressor infusion. Other complications were reported as part of the study AE collections....1/ #JournalCHESTChat

@journal_CHEST The #FRESHStudy was a randomized RCT that was designed to assess dynamic fluid-response guided resuscitation in patients that REMAINED hypotensive after an initial 1Lt of fluid and prior to 3Lt administered. Imbalances were effectively dealt with by the randomization schedule.

@journal_CHEST @DenverPcc @DenverHealthMed @CU_PSCCM @cu_medicine We designed and conducted the #FRESHStudy to specifically evaluate in a prospective RCT, the clinical utility and efficacy of dynamic-fluid-guided measures to inform personalized fluid and pressor resuscitation in sepsis and septic shock.
