It's a great representation of Antarctic clothing; like thick leather boots that froze overnight, so had to be carefully posed into a 'wearable' position!

Norma Henderson was a weaver in Fergusson's Mill on Douglas Street in Dundee. The guests are making a guard of honour, holding up shuttles.

πβοΈβ€ It's the last #FridayCollections before Christmas, so here's a lovely Christmas card from our collections which was produced as part of the Oceanographic Expedition in 1926. The card features a beautiful drawing of the Discovery at the whaling station in South Georgia.
