It was fitting to finish my #Friendship50 activities with Ivan. We became friends through my late husband John’s #PancreaticCancer diagnosis. Friendship is one of life’s most beautiful gifts. I am so grateful to all my friends who made #Friendship50 so much fun.
#Friendship50 my final activity of 50 activities is golf with my dear friend Ivan McMinn, chair of @NIPANC_ - I had never played golf. I was quite tense at the start as you can see as I learned how to putt. Learning the basics is critical. (Life lesson) 🧵

@NiomiB Hi Niomi, after J died aged 47, I thought if I get to 50, I will celebrate. I gave myself a project: 50 activities with friends to try new things & spend time with people who had supported me. I learned afresh what it means to live life to the fullest. #Friendship50 @NIPANC_
