#GetVulnerable - Twitter Hashtag

My 1 year anniversary of this account! It’s time to #GetVulnerable. When I made this account, 365 sunsets ago, I wasn’t sure what would come of it. I had spent far too long lurking golf burners and realized I needed to make an account of my own. This time last year I was still a golf novice. I didn’t know much about courses and architecture, and I only played with my same handful of friends from home, most of whom aren’t really golfers. This account changed that for me. The people of Twitter welcomed me, my antics, my Jordans, and my Big Letter Hats (we’re bringing them back btw) with open arms. They taught me all of the right things about golf. I’ve transitioned all the way from patterned Greyson to cotton! After about a month of running this account I started to gain some traction. I’d post where I’d play, people would interact, and we’d start conversations. What I didn’t expect was how quickly those conversations would turn into rounds of golf. That was the most incredible, and unexpected, part of this account. Come the first week of golf season in the northeast, I began playing with people I met through Twitter. It ended up changing my golf trajectory. I grew a fascination with architecture, began to love meeting people and hearing their stories, and a lot more I can’t be bothered with thinking of right now — because that’s hard, and I don’t wanna. A lot of the people I’ve met (and haven’t met) and played golf with this past year have become some of my closest friends. Extending beyond the app and into golf, dinners, and random conversations. It really has been awesome. Here are some of the guys I’ve played the most golf with over the past year; @NOTdaRealGil @UESgolf @LarryJSinclair @MerionChuck To anyone I didn’t mention, I apologize. I still love you and appreciate you, but didn’t want the list to go on forever. Lastly, I appreciate everyone for following and interacting with me. It really has been fun. I hope you all enjoy the bit as much as I do and I’m sorry if sometimes I take it too far. I hope you know I have great intentions, and I’m not like this in person, at all. Except I am really this funny. If I could make one suggestion, I’d say to play golf with people you meet, and enjoy, on Twitter. They may become some of your closest friends. With that, I hope the next year of stupid tweets is even better, and I hope to meet many more of you over these next twelve months. To more of #FamilyColor, #TheWand, and #SixSeven.
