@gittensor_io Wow! are you cooking with @nvidia RTX 5090?
Here is a bit fun, light version of the post, just for you! Hope you like it

You can safely start bidding on SN74 #Gittensor today.
This isn’t some voodoo bullshit - it’s a transparent, open notice board with real jobs. If you’re good enough, you’ll get paid.
MC $4.38M. Think long-term: every dev could end up on @gittensor_io one day.

you know whats better than designing loops for your agents, designing loops for infinite agents #gittensor
Here’s your monthly reminder that you shouldn’t be prompting coding agents anymore.
You should be designing loops that prompt your agents.
A Gittensor miner just got a PR merged into the go-ethereum core codebase. 🛠️
This is the ultimate proof of concept for decentralized software development... an incentive layer for the world's most critical infrastructure

What is #Gittensor 74 and why should I care?
Gittensor is a subnet on Bittensor dTAO network that utilises a simple concept: rewarding developers for open-source work. Yes, you got this right. Most of the time, open-source developers fix bugs, improve code and develop tools that everyone uses AT NO COST to them. They receive little to no compensation for their efforts.
Gittensor instead, REWARDS DEVELOPERS for creating and submitting real OPEN-SOURCE CODE.
How does Gittensor work without getting into the nitty-gritty of technology?
Think of Gittensor as a decentralised reward system on top of GitHub. Developers simply need to connect their GitHub account and create pull requests (PRs) for specified open-source projects. Once those pull requests have been verified by independent validators, the network recognises those contributions, validates the submissions and compensates the developer through the payment of tokens.
There Are Two Roles In Gittensor:
miners who create and submit code and validators who independently verify these contributions are real, useful, actual merges, etc. Gittensor does not provide "likes", nor does it promote "hype" or make any promises.
It only rewards shipped code.
What makes Gittensor unique?
For the first time ever, blockchain incentives are directly tied to productive work and not speculation. Unlike most crypto projects, Gittensor does not reward noise, attention or empty metrics. Instead, it rewards outcomes: bug fixes, features added, code improved. This creates a feedback look where open-source projects improve faster and devs finally get compensated for their effort. In just a short amount of time, Gittensor has already driven hundreds of thousands of lines of real code into open-source repositories. This is not theory, this is output.
Why is this important?
Open-source software runs the internet, finance, infrastructure and AI. However, it remains underfunded. Gittensor introduces a new model: open-source as an economy and not charity. If it scales, it could change how software gets build globally!
What is in it for holders?
As a holder of Alpha, you’re supporting a subnet that provides value in the world, which attracts developers who create value with their code, and your Alpha tokens will be rewarded based on how productive you are. The more people want to participate in this system (more developers, validators, and project applications), the more the alpha token will be used as the engine of the economy to support the system. More use = more importance = better, longer term fundamentals.
I know there are a lot of non-technical people getting interested in dTAO. In my work, I try to explain subnets in a more friendly, easy-to-understand way. Hope you like it.
Just look at the numbers below. Impressive? Just the beginning, right ? - @LandynDev @kimbologics

#Gittensor is quietly rewarding real open-source development. I think most people still have no idea how big this can become.
I’ll just say this: when open-source finally gets paid, everything changes.

#Gittensor is one of the subnets inside the Bittensor ecosystem that focuses on rewarding open-source software development. Instead of OSS contributors working for nothing, Gittensor treats useful code contributions as a digital commodity that miners produce and validators score, with rewards going to the developers who actually add value.
I see a lot of potential here. Open-source literally runs the whole tech world, but funding is mostly an afterthought and many projects burn out because the workload is heavy and people have jobs, families, and real lives. If #Gittensor can finally attach sustainable incentives to OSS, we could end up with better maintained software, healthier communities, and a completely new way of building public-good infrastructure.
For me, that’s why #Gittensor is an important subnet. It expands Bittensor’s idea beyond AI and shows that the same incentive mechanism can support any digital output, including traditional software development. If OSS devs finally get compensated for the work the whole world depends on, that’s a meaningful change.

There’s one detail I missed. Const seems to like the idea, but that doesn’t really matter, does it?

Was digging through the dTAO tranches today and ended up looking at #Gittensor, #SN74.
What is Gittensor?
It turns open-source development into a rewarded activity.
Devs earn tokens for real, merged pull requests.
Validators verify those PRs through GitHub’s API and score contributors.
All fully on-chain, fully transparent.
The team behind it, @kimbologics and @LandynDev, small but shipping constantly.
Everything is open-source and already live on mainnet.
Why pay attention?
- It solves a real problem: open-source work rarely pays
- It's early stage, low emissions and small market cap
- If more Repos join, this becomes the default incentive layer for OSS!
- Huge asymmetric upside for early hodlers
NFA, and always DYOR!
