In his closing remarks, Executive Director for Police Services, Stephen Kavanagh said that this 1st #GlobalBioConference has clearly been a success & that we must work together to build on this dialogue, renew our commitment & strengthen our alliance to enhance global biosecurity
The final day of the #GlobalBioConference looked at biological threat actors & entities, and the threat of bioterrorism in Europe.
📜 The conference outcomes & recommendations were also presented.
🔎 A demonstration on how to safely identify, collect & package evidence contaminated with biological materials took place during the #GlobalBioConference.
😷 Insight was given into the interagency cooperation required during complex interventions of contaminated environments.

Great pleasure to give a talk at the #GlobalBioConference at the invitation of Korean @themfds. Unless Covid-19 vaccines are equitably distributed, global deaths could double📈. The world must redouble efforts to ensure vaccine equity in order to bring the pandemic to a close.
