Quality mum daughter doggie time @Mote_Park @guidedogs deserve time off to play with their doggie friends. Mabel wears a bell so I can hear where she is and I use my #GuideCane so she can run free. Pic shows dog and daughter in front of tree. #SpotTheDog
Interesting day yesterday. GD ate cats breakfast and nearly a days worth of kibble before 9am🤦🏽♀️ so just me and my #GuideCane #shopping and #Bouldering @TCE_Maidstone Not as stressful as I thought thanks to good cane training from @KABCorporate
Thank you @dxnn91 for brining this up. I hope @Morrisons get this fixed immediately. As a #GuideCane user I’m frustrated by this. The images show aisles in Morrisons with boxes on the floor which could be tripped over by anyone. How is this #accessible?
Hey @Morrisons! I visit your kirkstall branch very frequently and always wonder, as this is your flagship store, are your standards for leaving without injury like this in every store..? The aisles aren’t accessible and after I told staff about the water on the floor...
@sueperkins @appertunity I’m #VisuallyImpaired. Before #Covid19 people pushed past me & step over my #GuideCane to get to priority seats, which I should of been able to use. I was left to stand next to people who didn’t want to offer me a seat. I’m worried about going back to work on #PublicTransport.
The amount of time’s I have had people barge past me. I use a #GuideCane & it can be ver dangerous.
Let's slow down a bit. Charging through a busy platform could be more harmful than you think.

クラウドファンディングの期間が折り返し地点を過ぎましたが、非常に苦戦しております。
当事者、関係者の方々からは期待の声を多くいただいておりますが、それだけでは開発が進みません。

Got half way down a train carriage, using #GuideCane to try find a seat. No one offered to stand up, I bet plenty of people felt my can though. Priority seats are for the #Disabled not just the 1st person who gets to it. #VisuallyImpaired #ThursdayMorning

When you finally accept that your night vision is shocking and you need a bit of help... #GuideCane #WhiteCane #CaneUser
When people just sit in the #DisabledSeats because they can’t be bothered walking a few feet further. Then don’t say anything when your #GuideCane taps their feet, because they’re ignorant. #TravrlKind?

Thread1/2 The word ‘Sorry’ has no meaning when you push past me & kick my #GuideCane. Twice. I’m not to blame if you’re ignorance causes you to catch your feet on my cane. Walked down 1 & 1/2 carriages & no one offered me a seat. Plenty of people sitting in the #disabled seats.
If you see a person walking towards you with a #guidecane please don’t walk into them. This just happened to me. He didn’t look, just walked at me & realises I wasn’t going to move so brushed passed me. It’s sunny- I am finding getting about more difficult. #TravelTuesday
posted my first #blog on @wordpressdotcom. Talking about my week being affected by my #nystagmus & #scoliosis. As well as considering a new #guidecane, advice supplied by @lukesamsowden (there’s a link to his blog in my post) @NystagmusUK @ScoliosisUK https://t.co/DrCjh8VB42
Using my #guidecane to feel if a seat is free. The lady didnt bother to move up, or say excuse me there’s a seat here. Just let me keep walking. I wish I was more confident in asking for a seat. #travelkind
@emilylinka 100% about a year ago I decided to start using a #guidecane. It was someone in the #nhs who suggested it. I changed from a #symbolcane. It has made a big difference. Never feel bad for making your life easier. Go have fun!
Keep changing attitudes & encouraging self belief to everyone by sharing positives. We’ve all seen the hurtful picture of the lady using a phone while carrying a #guidecane. We must change attitudes. We must #educate. #accessible
This morning I’m giving @scope Role Model talks at @cooppriesthorpe to Year 8 students about attitudes surrounding disability.
A year ago I delivered my first ever Role Model session at the same school!

@BlondeHistorian I’m currently on the bus with my #guidecane using my phone. To those questioning us- where’s your qualification as an #ophthalmologist? No? Didn’t think so...shush...lol 😂
So it turns out tapping people’s feet with your #guidecane doesn’t make them aware that ‘hey there’s a visually impaired person & maybe I should give up the priority seat?’ Don’t you just love how self involved #commuters are? #train #VisuallyImpaired
