Fake Doctors in Gujarat:
14 fake doctors were arrested in Gujarat for offering fake medical degrees. The accused were selling degrees from a fake website that claimed to be the Board of Electro Homoeopathic Medicine (BEHM) Gujarat.
What happened?
•The accused offered degrees for a fee of Rs 70,000.
•The accused issued certificates within 15 days of payment.
•The certificates were valid for one year, after which the doctors had to pay a renewal fee to renew them.
•The accused threatened doctors who could not pay the renewal fees.
•The police found hundreds of applications, certificates, and stamps in the accused's possession.
•The police raided the clinics of the accused after receiving information that they were running an allopathy practice.
