DeWine signed #HB201, which critics say is a giveaway to utilities and private corporations at consumers’ cost. Also, critics say the method by which the gas utility provisions were added might violate the Ohio Constitution’s single subject rule.

#SB52 and #HB201 seem diametrically opposed on the issue of local rule. Both, however, are consistent in preferencing fossil fuels at the expense of renewables. @MWenergynews @energynews_US

I was glad to work with Chairman @jasoncstephens as Vice Chair of the committee to help move #HB201. Misguided attempts to ban residential gas service, which have been pushed in other states, should never take hold in Ohio.
