I just signed a law that prohibits any government agency or public official from issuing an order that closes places of worship. The First Amendment right to freedom of religion shall never be infringed.

Update: HB542 passed out of committee with an "Ought to Pass w/ Amendment" recommendation. If this bill passes, New Hampshire will not only have a strengthened "free exercise" clause according to State Supreme Court precedent (Mack 2020), but also according to Law.
