Phenomenal work! We couldn't imagine how and boring tunnels under SoBo heritage buildings already completed without any damages. Kudos to teams #MMRC #MAPLEGC #HCCMMS #MumbaiMetro Deserves a fine documentary on @BBC @DiscoveryIN @NetflixIndia

This was not a small feat. Tunneling incessantly for 20 months to drill almost 4 km long tunnel beneath close to 200 severely dilapidated buildings + heritage buildings + high rise buildings + religious structures was not an easy task. Team #MMRC, #MAPLE GC and #HCCMMS did it.

Commissioned on 4 Dec 17 TBM Vaitarna-1 has accomplished its target in a span of 20 months tunneling at an avg of 190m/month at an avg depth of 20m below ground level using 2720 rings. #Metro3 #MumbaiUnderground @Dev_Fadnavis @CMOMaharashtra @AshwiniBhide @MahaDGIPR
