Pfft.... 5 fractions is soooo 2010 for #ProstateCancer. 2 fx (not one!) is the #future.
Better quality of life (biggest diff in sexual life), more convenient, way cheaper, uses 2.5x less resources, and is equally effective.

Nothing beats @gerard_morton comments from @ELS_Oncology #GreenJ for his #HDRmono study. They “rejected” the paper with a “possibility of reconsideration” b/c he had SUBHEADINGS in his Results. Nuff said

Ah but @gerard_morton showed the world that 19Gy HDR has 10x the recurrence rate with his #HDRmono RCT.
@Sunnybrook we microcosted HDR and SABR including disposables, meds and all personnel time (we even costed electricity and maintenance for LINACs and HDR)
@DrAndrewLoblaw @Helou The important aspect of the superior physics of dose delivery is you need a single boost fraction of 19 Gy delivered in a one hour Tx. SBRT delivery needs multiple hours of effort from imaging to planning to daily delivery. Overall, much more effort, time and ressources...
