The idea of the continuing revolution is interesting. If it’s continuing because it’s not complete, isn’t that a indictment of generations of politicians who claim to be carrying it out? If it’s continuing otherwise, it seems destabilizing. #Hist466

For those of you who may be traveling this summer, check out Mike Duncan's Revolutions podcast, series 9. It contains 27 episodes, all free, which chronicle the Mexican Revolution. I just completed a 30 hour road trip and this was a godsend! #Hist466

Germany saw Mexico as strategically useful. They could spy on the US from there as well as develop their interests in Latin America. #Hist466

#Hist466 An interesting story on pg. 20 of Castro’s book is the mention of Marconi getting a shot in the arm for his invention by Mexico looking to get direction from him. This helped this legitimacy in his own country.

@MichelleBrazfi2 It’s ironic that Díaz’s disgust of Juarez running for re-election would lead to his own presidency where he, except once, always ran for re-election in direct contradiction to that. #Hist466

Francisco Madero's brother ordered General Huerta's arrest and brought him before Madero with a document that showed Huerta was on a list of conspirators. Madero would release Huerta and scold his brother only to be overthrown by Huerta the next day. Listen to your peeps #Hist466
