BOOKER’S LAWYER SLAMS BAIL DENIAL Sovereign Media spoke to Booker Omole’s lawyer, Waringa Wahome, outside Mavoko Law Courts after the Communist Party Marxist Kenya General Secretary was denied bail. His legal team says they entered court ready to take a plea but were met with a hostile reception, with bail refused on technicalities. The defence maintains that bail is a constitutional right, says the detainees were held beyond the 24-hour legal limit, and reports they were roughed up in custody and require medical assessment. His lawyer argues he is being held on trumped-up charges because of his political activism.
