Pet peeve: don't say "this review adhered 2 PRISMA guidelines", or "the trial was conducted in line w/ CONSORT statement".
They are REPORTING guidelines. You need to write about each item, not just namedrop the guideline. #EquatorNetwork #HealthProfEd #AcademicWriting

@mededdoc I have a really good therapist and she's now a #HealthProfEd expert. Earlier this week she listened to all my struggles trying to figure out how programmatic assessment could work in our program π
And sometimes the systems, norms and contexts (political, financial) we are working with make it impossible. Other times we get so deep into the theory that common sense decisions aren't made. Over 100 years of going in circles. I need a holiday. #MedEd #HealthProfEd
Some ideas:
1) Cut lectures in half, if not further
2) Implement constant competency assessment
3) Reduce our obsession with written exams
4) Promote originality & innovation in place of so many exams

For each published paper containing sloppy use of generative AI, it's likely there are many more containing well concealed genAI regurgitated words instead of novel ideas and the authors' own thoughts. This concerns me. #MedEd #HealthProfEd
