Trofeo Calviá🇪🇦 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Morgado ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Scaroni, Hirschi ⭐️⭐️⭐️Sivakov, Vendrame, Barrenetxea ⭐️⭐️TSilva, Cort, Matthews, HAlvarez ⭐️Cosnefroy, MBerg, Nerurkar, Champoussin, Pescador The upcoming edition of the Trofeo Calviá is almost identical to last year’s race. Held in Spain, it truly lives up to its reputation as a leg-breaking "rompe piernas" parcours . There are climbs everywhere not necessarily brutally steep, but constant and above all, it’s the accumulation that will make the real difference. This is a race that suits attackers perfectly. It favours aggressive racing, long-range moves, breakaways and well-timed attacks, which also makes it fairly unpredictable, just as we’ve seen in previous editions. With that in mind, my pick to win is António Morgado. He looked strong at the Grand Prix Castellón, even if his attacking move didn’t quite make the difference in the end. Last year, he came very close to victory here and without the presence of his teammate Jan Christen, Morgado could very well have won. He was eventually beaten in the sprint by Christian Scaroni, but his form looks solid again, and I’m backing him to go one step further this time. That said, Christian Scaroni is naturally the main alternative and perhaps even the top favourite on paper. He has clearly shown that last season was no fluke. Once again, he’s in excellent form and has everything it takes to deliver another big result here, potentially securing his second win of the season. Another obvious contender is Mark Hirschi of Tudor. This kind of terrain suits him perfectly, and he remains a rider with the experience and class to win races like this. Pavel Sivakov is also one to watch. Originally a pure climber, he has adapted more and more to these rolling, selective courses. He may lack a sprint, but he makes up for it with sharp attacking instincts and excellent timing which makes him a very dangerous rider in this race. Andrea Vendrame has been one of the pleasant surprises of the season so far. He climbed extremely well in the Morvedre Classic and could once again deliver a strong performance here. This kind of terrain suits his profile as a puncheur-sprinter. Jon Barrenetxea is another solid name. He was among the best riders in this race last season, is showing good form again, and should not be overlooked. Special attention should also be given to Thomas Silva (Astana). He was active and aggressive at the GP Castellón and appears to be in good shape coming into this race. Young Héctor Álvarez is another interesting outsider, having shown promising form recently. Magnus Cort remains something of a wildcard unpredictable by nature but if he’s in good condition, this parcours gives him a real opportunity. Finally, Michael Matthews deserves a mention as well. The experienced Australian continues to prove that class and race craft still matter, and he is certainly a rider capable of winning a race like thiz. Overall, expect an aggressive, selective and unpredictable race one that should reward the smartest and strongest attacker on the day. #ChallengeMallorca #TrofeoCalvia #Cyclingpredictions #AntonioMorgado
