We started using the hashtag #HelpCalais.
We didn’t intend to start a organisation - but it started trending and within a week, we were raising thousands and every day were receiving huge numbers of donated clothes, sleeping bags & tents.
Using the hashtag #HelpCalais, we started a campaign to support this work. The response we received was unprecedented - Help Refugees was born - and the rest is history.
For us, it’s proof that acts of goodwill can transform the world in remarkable and unexpected ways.
