@MeshCampaign We were so hopeful when we met @JuliaCumberlege + participated in the #Firstdonoharm report + yet again with #HughesReport but still we wait with broken bodies + broken lives. We are not getting any younger, it is 22yrs since mesh ruined my life. We need #redress NOW not in 10yrs
It's more than two years since the #HughesReport and 6 years since the #FirstDoNoHarm report called for financial redress for women avoidably harmed by #pelvicmesh YET STILL NO GOVERNMENT COMMITMENT to compensate women avoidably harmed.

Hughes Report - 2 years since the launch of the report - and so the years pass along with our lives - still no response
#meshcampaign #redress #Hughesreport
Caroline Voaden MP speaks with compassionate support - Thankyou Caroline Iβm very grateful https://t.co/cIuUI0ggH0
An extract from my contribution to this morning's important Westminster Hall debate on the 2nd anniversary of the Hughes Report and the shocking lack of response from the UK Government to its recommendations #HughesReport @neilcgray @theSNP
π’Today marks two years since the #hughesreport called for compensation for women harmed by pelvic mesh and sodium valproate. Two years on and still no action. The Patient Safety Commissioner has pledged to take the matter direct to 10 Downing Street https://t.co/frKOm122eQ

Thank you so much to @GranadaReports for covering #valproatecampaign on tonights programme. The Govt should be ashamed of the time they're taking to provide a response to the #HughesReport we ask @10DowningStreet @RachelReevesMP @hmtreasury for an answer! @LiseMcNally @Emma4facs

@LucyRigby @wesstreeting @zubirahmed @RachelReevesMP @hmtreasury @Emma4facs @ShaunLintern As we reach the 2nd anniversary of the #HughesReport it is vital families receive a response on financial redress to those who continue to suffer.
Back in π¬π§ & at my desk in @hmtreasury after a busy & productive week in Beijing with the PM @Keir_Starmer, Sec of State for @biztradegovuk @peterkyle & an incredible π¬π§ business delegation, strengthening the π¬π§π¨π³ financial relationship & creating new opportunities for π¬π§ firms

And his apology to the thousands of children disabled by #Valproate??? It is appaling how this govt is stonewalling the victims of Valproate, a response is needed to the #HughesReport 2 yrs on! @wesstreeting @Emma4facs @WarrenMatt4634 @catherinecox2 @LadyPZander @lisaboothman99
@SarahCorkerNews @LKilraine In an interview with ITV News, Health Secretary @wesstreeting personally apologised 'on behalf of the state and this government' to victims affected by the dangerous pregnancy drug, which was prescribed on the NHS for decades
@SusanMorgan19 @Emma4facs The most important thing to remember here is that Govt are attempting to push aside the #HughesReport which now 2 yrs ago. #Redress was explained to them & now its not a "priority", Pressure is building & they must address it soon!
We @Infactuk @Emma4facs thank Dr Henrietta Hughes for her letter to the DH concerning time taken to respond to the #HughesReport We have asked all these questions by written PQs, PMQs, letters to senior civil servants & Prime Minister in a INFACT petition. https://t.co/9wE223N66S
Tomorrow will be 20 months , since the #HughesReport was given to the @DHSCgovuk on costs of compensation for Valproate. As families continue to suffer anxiety over welfare reform & lack of duty of care how much longer will they be made to wait. @Emma4facs @SharonHodgsonMP
It's atrocious, the length of time these families have been made, by Govt, to fight. Clin neg 1991-2003, Product liability 2005-2010, @IMMDSReview 2018-2020 & now #HughesReport and all the time the Govt knew they were responsible @zubirahmed @DHSCgovuk @wesstreeting @Emma4facs
#CompensationforValproate #Justice
Thanking @mimsdavies for asking this question @JanetWilliams99
Unacceptably Same copy & paste response answer for the last 18 months @zubirahmed π

So please to see @NowHillsborough has recieved the recognition it deserves with the inclusion of #DutyofCandour . We ask that #ValproateCrisis is now concluded on its own merit due to the #Hughesreport @Keir_Starmer @wesstreeting @Emma4facs @DHSCgovuk
I first met Margaret Aspinall when I was Director for Public Prosecutions.
I made a promise to her that I would act so no other parent would suffer like she had.
Today, I am proud to be making good on the promise I made to Margaret by bringing in the Hillsborough Law.

Valproate families @Infactuk as #HughesReport say #Getonwithit as Govt drag their heals on giving a response & compensating those harmed by Govt cover up. @wesstreeting @AshleyDalton_MP @ShaunLintern @danfrancis02 @JohnGlenUK @SharonHodgsonMP @LiseMcNally https://t.co/07fjZgEjsu
It's time the Govt gave its response to the #HughesReport or the true reason for the 18month delay. The majority of those harmed by Valproate are now into their 30s & 40s & have already suffered enough. This could have been avoided, instead its become a lifelong disability.
The Sodium Valproate scandal: Why are disabled children still waiting for compensation?

We @Infactuk @Emma4facs thank @GranadaReports @LiseMcNally @CatSmithMP for all the support given to the #Valproatecrisis campaign. 18 months on from #Patientsafetycommissioners #HughesReport & those suffering continue to wait. @DHSCgovuk @AshleyDalton_MP @wesstreeting
And some Labour MPs are urging their party to do better and go quicker than the previous Government.
@CatSmithMP says she feels she's getting a stock answer repeatedly when she raises this in parliament.
"It's time to stop buying time, and start putting things right" (3/4)
We @Infactuk @Emma4facs have approx 2000 people, of all ages affected by Valproate in pregnancy on database. 2000 with avoidable harm! Yet it's 18 months since #HughesReport 5 yrs since #CumberlegeReview and this Govt continues to make them wait in limbo & suffer in silence.

Things have progressed since @Christian4BuryS stood up @HouseofCommons for those with #FVSD. We've waited 18 months for the #HughesReport response & now summer recess is upon us & families continue to suffer with very little support. @AshleyDalton_MP @ShaunLintern @Emma4facs
We @Infactuk @Emma4facs want to thank @Christian4BuryS for his support and standing up for those harmed by #valproatecrisis https://t.co/Dj3gC363Nv
The PM @Keir_Starmer needs to eat his words, and look at his own work. Following the #HughesReport and over 12 months wait for those disabled by Valproate & avoidable harm, he & @DHSCgovuk need to #Getonwithit @Emma4facs @PSCommissioner @ShaunLintern @catherinecox2 @LadyPZander
