5/6 Despite respondents at the majority of sites saying local people โmostly fearโ ๐จ elephants, a majority are understood to be โmoderately-โ to โhighly-tolerantโ of them, with spiritual beliefs/customs ๐ positively impacting tolerance. #DICECON21 #HUMWILD #Asianelephants

5/6 #DICECON21 #HumWild These results tallied with on-the-ground observations over the years, where permeable fences had no known impacts on AWD packs, but impermeable fences were associated with instances of roadkill, human-wildlife conflict and pack break-up
