But today, this precious ecosystem faces growing threats. The construction and expansion of fossil fuel projects like EACOP raise serious concerns about the future of our waters, biodiversity, and the millions of people whose lives depend on this lake.
A single oil spill, a damaged ecosystem, or a polluted water source could leave generations paying the price. Fishers, farmers, women, children, and communities living around the lake deserve a future where clean water and a healthy environment are protected, not sacrificed for short-term profits.
This is not just an environmental issue. It is a fight for our livelihoods, our health, our culture, and the survival of future generations.
The lake cannot speak, but we can.
