PHOTOS: Sanyu Babies’ Home in Kampala has significantly reduced its energy costs and improved efficiency through a clean cooking project commissioned in October last year. The Shs353 million project included electric pressure cookers and other electrical systems. According to Ms Barbara Nankya, the Executive Director of Sanyu Babies’ Home, monthly energy expenses have dropped from Shs1.5 million to Shs500,000, and meal preparation time decreased from 8 hours to just 40 minutes.
