INTERACT - defining an interspecialty curriculum

The aim of INTERACT-EUROPE was to develop a curriculum that identified what it is valuable for trainees to learn in order to work more effectively with different specialities and professions to deliver better care for cancer patients. Led by the European Cancer Organisation, it brought together 33 stakeholder organisations from 17 countries including patient advocates. Development of the competences in the curriculum included quantitative and qualitative surveys as well as a scoping review. The resulting 127 enabling competences cover all domains of the CanMEDS curriculum framework and provide the basis for the training programme INTERACT-100.
