Through the #IUpshift project, with support from @ilo , we are equipping out-of-school youth in Rhino Camp refugee settlement with the tools to succeed including innovation training, mentorship, and seed funding to launch their own enterprises.
The impact is clear: young people are no longer waiting for jobs. They are creating them, solving real problems and building sustainable businesses.
This goes beyond empowerment. Itโs about ownership, agency, and long-term change.

I had a productive meeting with @UNICEFUganda officials to discuss the planned outreach engagements targeting 900 to 2500 out-of-school adolescents and youth in Kampala, Mbarara, and Arua, through the #iUpshift Social Innovation and Digital Skills toolkit programmes. Notably, @OfficialMubs has successfully reached 1047 adolescents and youth in 2025. I extend my gratitude to UNICEF for selecting MUBS as a partner in this endeavour.
Commemorating #WorldChildrensDay, #Iupshift finalists (school-going children and out-of-school youth) from the regional bootcamps will showcase their innovations promoting social-impact, creativity, resilience, and more.
