Over months ago, i was pleased to contribute to training facilitation of over 500 frontline functionaries physically&over 7000 remotely, strengthening their capacities in communication,nutrition,saving,hygiene and sanitation under #ImenaProgram by @hezainitiatives &@unicefrw
Today we paid courtesy visit to @KireheDistrict, and we had good discussions with partners from @unicefrw, @LODARwanda, and the District Health Officers to review IMENA Program implementation, strength and plans for scale-up nationwide.
It was also good opportunity to visit some households participants of #IMENAprogram, who are in process of changing behavior towards sustainable graduation from poverty.
The day was concluded by joining people of Kagasa cell ,Nyamugali sector to see how FLFS are using knowledge and skills from program to change communities through education and innovation.

Egg package and nutrition job aid helping families to prepare a balanced diet. #ImenaProgram

What an exciting day in Jurwe Village, @GasaboDistrict
Through our monthly cooking demo, 28 moms with 31 children learned how to prepare balanced meals using our nutrition job aid exploring egg recipes, feeding schedules, and hygiene tips.
Inspired by the session, mothers even formed a Village Kitchen Saving Group, saving 300 RWF twice a month to buy egg-laying chickens ensure each child get #OneEgg and balanced meals.

Yesterday, we kicked off #IMENAPhase2 in @GasaboDistrict. In partnership with @unicefrw and partners, we met #Ndera sector E/S for introductory meeting. Also, we met the FLF who expressed great enthusiasm towards assisting their community reach full potential through #Imena core pillars.

Kicking off #IMENAPhase2
Today in @KireheDistrict, we held an introductory meeting with Mayor @rangira highlighting key outcomes from #IMENAPhase1 and launched activities in Nyamugari Sector with FLFs. Together, we went through the program content and mapped the journey ahead to build stronger communities.
Investing in capacity development is the best move for any organization!
