Not a Demand, Just a Due: The Unfinished Justice for #CAPFs
India and Its peace and stability are built every day on borders, in insurgency-hit regions, in militancy zones, across Naxal-affected areas, and in maintaining internal law and order.
And at the center of this constant effort stand the #CAPFs.
They are not occasional contributors-they are the system that holds the line.
But today, the issue is not about recognition.
It is about denial of what is already lawful.
This is not a demand for power.
This is not resistance to reform.
This is about implementation of what has already been upheld.
Despite judicial backing and established principles under #OGAS, #CAPF officers continue to face a structural contradiction:
The continued 50% IG deputation.
As per the framework, this was never meant to be a permanent arrangement. The expectation was clear-cadre-based progression, closed structure, and institutional stability.
Yet, in reality:
-50% IG-level posts continue under deputation,
-Cadre identity remains diluted,
-Career progression remains obstructed,
-And lawful expectations remain unfulfilled.
Let’s be clear-this is not opposition to administrative expansion.
Increase ADG posts. Expand SDG and DG level positions. Even structure the system as per operational needs. Reserve posts if required for coordination or expertise.
But don’t withhold what is already rightfully due.
Because this is not about how many posts exist- it is about who rightfully fills them and how.
You cannot expect a force to safeguard national integrity while its own institutional integrity remains compromised.
You cannot expect morale to remain unaffected when dignity and lawful entitlement become subjects of prolonged delay.
And you cannot define this as reform when the most basic structural correction-ending indefinite deputation at the IG level-is still pending.
#CAPFs are not asking for extraordinary concessions.
They are asking for something far simpler:
a closed, fair cadre system as intended, and as supported in principle.
They are asking that 50% IG deputation-never meant to be permanent-should not continue indefinitely.
They are asking for what should have been implemented without protest.
Because when those who protect the nation have to struggle for their own lawful rights,
the issue is no longer administrative-
