The voices of clinically vulnerable families need to be heard. We are ignored or talked about rather than consulted. We donβt fit into neat classifications such as disabled or elderly. Policies across the board are failing us #includecvf https://t.co/nkSXil2BJ2
The reason we were denied the opportunity to challenge decisons that were made about us (without us) is exactly that - because they were made *without us*.
How does that even make sense?

Are significant issues that either far more than others, or only us. The Inquiry made a grave error when they didn't #IncludeCVFπππ.
Not all Clinically Vulnerable people are disabled and not all disabled people are Clinically Vulnerable.
The disabled people's organisations have given their view. But, that doesn't negate the need for ours! We must speak for ourselves.

Other organisations, who were in this module #CovidInquiry, have looked at vulnerability through the lens of their interests.
Additional risk factors *do* add additional risks - BUT the main driver was ultimately not given the scrutiny it required.

Here, instead of vulnerable or elderly it is framed as the o65s and yet there is talk of giving people a choice and "going clubbing" - clearly unlikely to be o65s then!
May we remind everyone, that even some babies can be extremely vulnerable.

"the elderly and those with chronic conditions"

A vital topic for us is "segmentation" framed as "for the elderly".
NB/ The "elderly" were never shielded. ONLY those classified as CEV by the government. But the idea of segmentation was broadly aimed at clinically vulnerable people (including elderly).

Don't get us wrong, the barristers are doing a great job overall. But, because we aren't there, some of us are being written out of the story.
Boris Johnson, under questioning, corrects "elderly" to "vulnerable".

Time and again, they spoke about us...
without us.
Bizarrely, despite what we all knew from the start - experts, civil servants and ministers had to correct the questioning barristers repeatedly that clinical risk (which included age) was the biggest isssue.

We are those people who remain at risk, which is why we *still* qualify for Covid vaccines / antivirals.

Clinically Vulnerable Families were rejected from M2 #CovidInquiry as our interests are not "sufficiently significant".
Yet, most reported deaths were followed by dismissive "underlying health condition" / "elderly".

Living with Covid promised us data. That has already been degraded from the 'COVID-19 Infection Study' to the 'Winter COVID-19 Infection Study', which was then delayed.
We simply do not have enough surveillance for this year-round infection.
