#IndianCustomsatWork On the basis of APIS profiling, one passenger arriving from Cambodia via Kuala Lumpur on 06/07.05.2026 night by Flight No. MH-118 was intercepted at SGRDJI Airport, Amritsar. Detailed examination following X-ray scanning of his baggage resulted in recovery of tablets weighing 25.25 kgs suspected to be MDMA (Methylenedioxymethamphetamine) a Narcotics drugs and Psychotropic substance in the form of tablets which were concealed in 04 soft toys.
Offending goods recovered from the passenger as detailed above have been placed under seizure and pax has been arrested in accordance with the provisions of Narcotics drugs and Psychotropic substances Act, 1985. Further investigation is under process.
As per the field test conducted, sample has tested positive for MDMA.
Total estimated value of the seizure is Rs.25.25 Crore (market value is approx. Rs. 50 Crore)
