The electoral register form arrived. You have to go to a phishy sounding .co.uk site (rather than .gov.uk), it attempts to load content from an even shiftier sounding CDN ywxi(?), and the actual .gov.uk site you would use to check if the link is legit fails to load. #InfoSecFAIL

Today, I discovered (maybe rediscovered?) that my son's secondary school maintained a clear-text copy of the password for his school account, was willing to send it in clear via text/email, and doesn't prompt for changing it afterwards. #infosecfail 😡

I email a credit card authorization form to a vendor with multiple digits missing, and call them with the remainder. Best I can do for security's sake. What do they do? Include the scanned form in the confirmation email WITH THE REST OF THE DIGITS. 🤬 #InfoSecFail

Every app/website that prevents pasting passwords on the login screen is making security worse. Bad UX bad threat model. To workaround users will choose short passwords they can remember, increasing chance they are known, rather than use a password manager. #infosecFail
