*🌉 Restoring Lifelines. Reconnecting Communities*
After the existing PMGSY bridge at Chishoti was washed away during the devastating cloudburst on 14 August 2025, connectivity between Padder and Machail remained disrupted.
Rising to the challenge, 118RCC of 31 BRTF under #ProjectSampark @BRO swiftly constructed a 140-ft Bailey Bridge, restoring this vital link and bringing immense relief to local residents, pilgrims to Machail Mata and the security forces.
The bridge was virtually inaugurated by Lt Gen PK Mishra, GOC @Whiteknight_IA, who lauded BRO's exceptional professionalism, dedication and unwavering commitment to nation-building in one of the country's most challenging terrains.
Shri Sunil Sharma, MLA Padder & Leader of Opposition J&K, also visited the bridge site and commended the exemplary efforts of BRO, particularly 118 RCC, in restoring this critical lifeline.
