This is horrifying. Wrong on so many levels. Medical decisions must be returned those qualified to make them - pts and their doctors. I feel helpless in these situations.

No matter how much a drug company gives in a rebate or how much assistance they provide to help with out of pocket β¦ the only entity determining ACCESS to medicines are PBMs and insurers. This is despicable. ππππππ

HOW is this allowed to happen ??!? Nothing makes me scratch my head and stare blankly into space as much as trying to figure out why this kind of business model is allowed, esp when the consequence (read: #insuranceinjury, pts die, etc) is so devastating.
I just don't get it.
PBMs charged Medicaid (taxpayers) $147 for a heartburn med. PBM only paid the pharmacy $17 & pocketed $130 for themselves as payment processors. Imagine buying milk & paying the credit card co $130 for processing. Only corruption would allow this to continue.
