#PaidLeaveForAll. All families face illness, the arrival of a new child, care for sick family members or even military deployment. Paid Leave is good for families, good for employers, good for children & good for our economy -- that makes it good public policy. #InvestUpstream
Paid leave is a concrete support for families that helps to prevent child maltreatment. NC state employees are eligible for up to 8 weeks of paid leave after the birth, adoption, or foster placement of a child, however NO law exists to provide leave for private sector employees.
