If there's one thing I've learned on this #IslayIn24, it's that 24 hours is not long enough! Goodbye, Queen of the Hebrides. I'll be back.
I kept my favourite for last - @Laphroaig Distillery. 8/8 and last stop to down a dram before running for the ferry! #WorthIt #IslayIn24
This sign is very appropriate for our arrival at distillery 7 of 8 - @Ardbeg_com! #IslayIn24
.@Lagavulin, 6 of 8 on this mini #IslayIn24 #distillerychallenge. First time trying their 16yo - rich, complex and surprisingly fruity!
In this country heritage is everywhere! Check out Dunyvaig castle peeking out from behind @Lagavulin distillery. #IslayIn24 #HeritageDay17
Spirited Soaps in #Bowmore is a fab wee shop. Amazing soaps and creams made with Islay whiskies, and the bog myrtle soap is lush! #IslayIn24
#BridgendHotel know exactly how to treat weary travellers. Would you just look at the size of that sirloin! #IslayIn24.
Do not leave Islay without visiting Machir Bay! On this whirlwind tour it was good to pause for a minute and breathe the sea air. #IslayIn24
Distillery 4 of 8, @Kilchoman05, the only 100% #islay whisky - distilled onsite from islay-grown barley. #IslayIn24
Stop 4, and #WhiskyDistillery 3 on #IslayIn24: @Bruichladdich, also home of award-winning (and my favourite #ScottishGin) @thebotanistgin.
More on @finlaggantrust later - incredible place - but for now on to @Bruichladdich on this whistlestop tour! #IslayIn24
#IslayIn24 stops 2 and 3: @Bunnahabhain distillery and the seat of the Lord of the Isles @finlaggantrust! It's not all whisky y'know...
First stop on #IslayIn24 had to be a distillery, didn't it? Caol Ila down, seven to go on this mini #distillerychallenge!
Hello from the ferry to #Islay! Our Katrina has 24 hours on the isle, and she's looking for recommendations -where should she go? #IslayIn24
