@MoneyVisCoach My husband has a treatable cancer. We asked for a Cancer deferment from Nelnet…they said “yes”. Called us back and said “nope”! Because we have a Joint Spousal Consolidation SL WE BOTH HAVE TO HAVE CANCER TO QUALIFY!! This SL ‘system’ is BS. No relief for those who suffer.

2) The Oct 31st deadline is the PSLF Waiver. It has nothing to do with the #JCLSA. This is not surprising because unless you work with this stuff everyday it's super confusing (like the tax code).
